Networks Tutorial

The networks page keeps you up to date with who is working in your network.

One of the biggest hassles, especially at the state level, is knowing who is working in which office. You may need to collaborate on an event with another office, but their chief of staff just left for another job and you don’t know the phone number of who took their place.

In Legislata, you can connect with an office - similar to connecting with someone on LinkedIn. When their members change, you’ll see the new staff in the networks page. These offices can be at any level of government and in any jurisdiction.

Connecting with an Office

You can connect with an office on your office profile page.

To connect, you can send an invite with their office’s primary email (usually the official email of the elected official).

This will include your office in their pending connection list, also on the office profile page.

When you see a new pending connection, you can either confirm or reject the connection.

If you confirm the connection, then your offices will be connected and they’ll be included on your My Networks page.

Sharing with connected offices

Once you’ve connected with another office, you can share tasks, messages, and constituent information with them.
